A Different Possibility

Just the other day I spoke with Kit who had caught Covid and had some miserable symptoms, including horrible headaches and extreme fatigue.  About 2 weeks into it, she began a well planned nutritional supplement program and within days began to feel better.  Her body was craving help and she finally got it!  From that point on she recovered fast and now is back to work.

Can anyone show us how to completely prevent contracting Covid19?  Of course not.  Right now we are doing the best we can to minimize our exposure by washing our hands enough, using masks, doing social distancing and staying away from large crowds.

Today I am going to share 4 Essential Tips that can help almost anyone, just like Kit, minimize the effects of this and other viruses and bacterial infections plus help you and your families choose “well care” over “sick care”.  And, if you do get ill, how about bouncing back faster?

Imagine having the tools to protect you & your family because you built better health and strong, powerful immune system.

You know, Americans are in a love frenzy with foods – So many live to eat rather than eat to live.  Not that you can’t do both but many of us make choices called the S.A.D. diet or Standard American Diet. We are talking about addictive processed foods, sugary snacks, high fat meats and unlimited sodas.  Can you relate to that?  In addition, most industrialized farms have poured tons of toxic chemicals and sprays on their fruits and vegetables, adding more to our toxic body buildup.  Yuk!

We really are what we eat and that translates to either choosing wisely and building healthy cells or being overfed and undernourished with deficient food choices creating lower quality body parts.

What should one do?  I’m sure either your mother, grandmother or both told you what most of us already know – eat your fruits and veggies, minimize sugary products and get enough rest.  But is that enough?

Here are my 4 Essential Tips to combat Covid19 and other flus and viruses:

    1. Additional supplements in your daily regimen. Add:
      1. vitamin C (at least 2000 split through the day),
      2. vitamin D3 shown to help your immunity,
      3. zinc lozenges to coat your throat and protect the virus from entering your lungs,
      4. turmeric, a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory (either self made tea with black pepper and fat or an extract supplement with black pepper in it)
    2. Work on your stress –
      1. deep breathing exercises,

3 Simple Steps to Support Your Immune System

STEP 2Wash Up and Keep Clean

Of course we are limiting contact with folks who are sick. As we venture out more though, we will need to make wise choices by keeping our distances and wearing masks because we don’t really know who has been exposed and may not even know it.

Clean hands are one of the best defenses against disease so let’s also wash our hands frequently with warm, soapy water, especially after being in public places, and wash for at least 20 seconds.

Boosting Your Immune System

In today’s world of a fast spreading, mostly unknown virus we have yet to understand and conquer with either a vaccine or a cure, our lives feel as though they are in limbo.  Many of us are mostly staying at home, trying to make the most of it.

Given the lack of testing available and the projections of many more covid19 cases, we instead have to take personal responsibility for our own health.  To me that means we need to do what is necessary to build our immune systems while following the protocol of our state.

Our bodies are amazing.  They are like a chemical factory always watching for invaders and ready to attack and destroy the enemy before it takes over.  The magnificence of its ability to care for and heal us is truly miraculous.  But why does it do its job for one person and not another?  Why does one person’s immune system seem to be strong enough to withstand almost anything while another succumbs at the first introduction of unwanted foes?

Why might we have a weakened immune system that subjects us to disease so easily?

Here are some possibilities to consider:

Excess toxic waste in our systems
Are you exposed to air pollutants both outside and in?
What products are you using to clean, do laundry, bathe and put on your skin?
Did you know you also have excess waste from body processes?
Do you live a fast paced lifestyle?
Do you have anxiety from current situations?
Is there no time for yourself?
Is your job or income almost gone?
Lack of rest
Are you getting 7-8 hours each night?

Building Your Immune System

  • Find an exercise you love – do it 3-4 times a week, at least 30 minutes

  • Eat fresh fruits and vegetables and quality, lean meats, poultry & fish
  • Use high quality supplements to fill in the gaps
  • Use “Medicine cabinet nutrients” to build a strong immune system and at first sign of illness – I’ll post my personal favorites next week
  • Drink warm (non-alcoholic) drinks; keep warm
  • Find time to relax and destress; find fun activities
  • Meditate or pray regularly
  • And, of course, have a bit of dark chocolate daily -:)

These are just a summary of ideas.  Next week I will go more in depth into some of these.  My goal today is to start you thinking about the changes you may want to make to reduce your risk of all viruses and today, especially, the corona virus.
